Our wedding in Paris was very small and intimate, just the way we wanted it. But we also wanted to have a party to celebrate with friends and family. The party started out as being a small thing with not too much planning, but as always seem to be the case, it grew into a whole day with lots of food, cakes and fun! And we loved every minute of it. So many family members and friends came from so far away! We feel truly blessed to have all these amazing people in our lives… The very best of friends and family!!!
I didn’t really have time to take many pictures at all, so most of these have been taken by Michael or other friends and family. And with probably six – seven different cameras. So get ready for a lot of pictures(!!!) in completely different quality!
The day started with lunch for the family and honorary family member; The fabulous Michael from London. We also had family coming from all over Norway, The Netherlands and Scotland.
Our parents, welcoming everyone at the door.
The gorgeous bouquet my aunt made for me.
My cousin, Kasper – came to Norway with two broken arms!
My super lovely husband!!
The tables were already beautifully set when we arrived, but Michael, Nadine and I decorated them with small flower bouquets, hearts, candles and Eiffel towers!
The food… Oh my, there was so much lovely food!
All big norwegian parties seem to have at least one home made song…
Homemade trifle as desert, yum!
We took a picture with everyone – such a nice memory to have! It is definitely going up on the wall as soon as we have more walls to put pictures on!
Ater all the food had been eaten, songs had ben sung, and some speeches had been heard all the tables were moved out of the way, cakes were put out, and more guests started arriving. I got out of my blue dress and back into the wedding dress. At first it was strange to wear it again, but I think it was nice for everyone to feel like they got to see the bride and groom in the wedding outfits. And, to be honest – my wedding dress is super comfy!
Suddenly feeling a little like a celebrity….
Look at all those cakes!?!
My dutch cousins!
(Almost) All my fantastic girlfriends – and of course; Fab Michael!!
The brothers!
The Aksnes cousins!
I have known these three girls from before I can remember – so nice to hang out with them again!
At midnight all the music was turned off and we all started singing birthday songs in all different languages. We had a set of birthday twins amongst us!
Thank you everyone who were a part of this day, you made us both so so happy!
